The Importance of Social Media

The use of Social Media has become much more significant in the business world than merely a networking platform or a passing phase in socializing.  The importance of the use of Social Media can be measured in many significant positive outcomes in the corporate marketplace as well. If you are looking for ways to incorporate this into your organization Executive Speakers Bureau offers some of the leading social media speakers.

One of the ways in which the use of effective Social Media can help your business marketing efforts, is that it increases your brand recognition. This increased visibility allows existing  customers to keep you on their radar, maintaining customer brand loyalty and easy accessibility.   It also projects to new or potential customers your market presence is both credible and accessible.  By continuing to pursue a social media presence, you are reaching vast audiences in a short amount of time, with very little expense but with a huge return on that investment.

Another way in which maintaining a strong social media presence is beneficial is that it puts a humanized touch to your corporate brand. When potential customers see you engaging in the community, with other customers and with relevant topics, you become more than just a faceless business but become a business with a personality one in which cares about the industry enough to engage with their clientele.  You are humanizing your brand.  This will increase goodwill, which is invaluable and will convey loyalty and trust with your customers.

A significant role social media plays in the corporate world today is in its ability to increase your company’s SEO.   In the ever changing parameters to get higher Google rankings Google and other search engines may be calculating their rankings using social media presence as a significant factor, because of the fact that strong brands almost always use social media.  They are counting on the fact that brands with a social media presence are capturing relevant traffic and are therefore ranked higher.   This is huge when customers are trying to find you or even a like industry to be ranked high enough to draw traffic. Our social media speakers are able to offer quick tips on how to do this. If you would like additional information on any of our innovation speakers or to see a full list of our keynote speakers check out our website www.executivespeakers.com or give us a call at 901-754-9404.

It's based on the concept that there are the resources in every community to meet the needs of that community. beremedy has been named one of the "3 best twitter usages worldwide" by CNN (3/20/11). beremedy was one of the leading organizations in bringing aid to Haiti after the earthquake using social media to network organizations, the UN and U.S. Marines. Through social media they have been able to help thousands of people and they're just getting started.

Blake Canterbury was an early adopter in the social media world. He began by teaching his friends and family about tools before they could pronounce them correctly (you can often catch his mom tweeting replies to him that she thinks are texts.) Early on, he saw the ability to communicate a message to millions of people & the potential to use that for good. He launched his first company based on social media in 2009. He is now on a mission to make his home city Atlanta known for being, the #1 city for social good. He is also available to speak on social media.

Tom McManus

Tom McManus was one of the original members of the Jacksonville Jaguars (1995-1999). After finishing his career at Boston College as an All-American, he found himself out of football for two full seasons, tending bar in Chicago, while dreaming of playing in the NFL. He made the team in the Jaguars first year of existence and played an instrumental role during the Jaguars early successes in the mid-to-late 90’s, including being the starting middle linebacker for the team during it’s Cinderella year of 1996 when the Jaguars reached the AFC Championship Game in only their second year. In 1999, a foot injury sidelined him for good and his dream was over. Tom was known for his all out work ethic on the field and his approachability off it. He is a member of the BC Hall of Fame Class of 2009.

Suck It Up! was created in honor of an American Hero and for the future of our children. It is a message of “tough love” to the American people, to get us back to what made our great country the strongest in the world.

Tom’s talks are centered on the Suck It Up! Way of Life Principles which state; Look in the mirror, offer no excuses, and be the best we can be in everything we are and do.

Tom believes in the life philosophy of “no passing the buck and no finger pointing, just looking in the mirror and being honest with the reflection! Although Suck It Up! Join the Movement! has compassion, at the end of the day it is up to us to make our lives as good as we want!”

Jennifer Rumple

Long-time TV Journalist and Producer Jennifer Rumple lost 145 pounds on NBC's The Biggest Loser - Season 12 and earned the At Home Winner title. Jennifer Rumple weighed her heaviest at 365 pounds on her 39th birthday ... suffering from what she called "reverse anorexia" ... liking who she was on the inside and ignoring the pounds piling on her body her entire adult life.

Now 40 and 180 pounds lighter, Jennifer Rumple feels her new, healthy lifestyle and physical body finally match her TRUE self. She's committed to this new, healthy lifestyle by continuing to make smart choices about nutrition and fitness and is dedicated to inspiring others to live the same way to become their healthiest, happiest selves, snag their dreams and live their most amazing life possible.

Management Speaker Marcus Buckingham On Customized Leadership

Marcus Buckingham continues to be one of the worlds top leadership and management speakers.  Marcus  has dedicated himself to understanding what makes world-class managers tick, bottling it, and sharing it with the world. He first conquered the bestseller lists in 1999 with First, Break All the Rules. While the title may imply an iconoclastic streak, his continuing plea for managers to break with tradition has nothing to do with rebellion; instead, he argues, rules must be broken and discarded because they stifle the originality and uniqueness — the strengths — that can enable all of us to achieve our highest performance.

In his latest book, StandOut, Marcus shows how to create a tool for identifying each person's leadership type. That type then became the filter through which some, though not all, leadership development content is delivered. He designed an algorithm within StandOut, his online strengths-assessment tool. StandOut is a situational judgment test, meaning that people indicate their likeliest response to a series of situations. By focusing on behaviors, this type of test captures how people come across to others better than assessments that ask respondents to rate themselves on a variety of traits.

Then, he gave the assessment to the company's best leaders. Their analysis showed that the range of behaviors seen across those thousands of people could be divided into nine categories, which we call strength roles. These represent the most common ways specific strengths cluster and combine in individual leaders. Next, we interviewed a cross section of leaders to discover their leadership techniques.

This is where the algorithm comes in. You can use an algorithm to target techniques to the right people. Companies should assess all developing leaders and feed each one practices derived from excellent leaders who have the same leadership type.

To learn more about Marcus Buckingham and his best selling books, check out his webpage - Marcus Buckingham or call Executive Speakers Bureau at 800-754-9404

Sue Hershkowitz:

Imagine that you have an important presentation to give in a few minutes. Why you ever agreed to be the one to introduce George Clooney is beyond you at this moment, but there's no way out now. Two thousand colleagues will be watching you and evaluating you. Oh, and the executive team is in the front row, and George will hear what you have to say. You're really feeling nervous, your palms are sweating and you wish you could escape! What if you forget what you're planning to say? What if you trip going up the steps to the lectern? What if your mouth goes dry? What if you make a fool of yourself?

If you've ever felt this way, you're in the right room today. Sue Hershkowitz-Coore, CSP, has worried about all of those things — and has even had most of them happen, oh, except she is still waiting to introduce Mr. Clooney! Fortunately, though, she's discovered the tricks to calming her nerves, even if she isn't always feeling that way! The lessons Sue's learned and the experiences she'll share will help you to present yourself with added confidence, and with an enhanced level of professionalism. She promises to provide strategies for connecting more powerfully and more persuasively with any audience. Sue says that giving a presentation - even if it's only presenting details of an upcoming event to your colleagues — should be fun for you — and them and she can show you how to do it with confidence.

LaDonna Gatlin:

LaDonna Gatlin believes one defining moment can redefine our lives. She knows firsthand that we can’t live someone else’s dream—that in order to be our personal best, we must find our own voice and “sing our own song.” LaDonna literally grew up on stage singing with her brothers--the legendary Gatlin Brothers. In the early 1970’s the Gatlins took their family harmony to Nashville. But a detour appeared on the road to stardom-- LaDonna got married. At this defining moment, she realized that success for her could be measured in a different way.
